Coramsine is a cancer fighting compound
composed of two agents that bind to a cancer cell’s
receptors and rupture the cell membrane. It is currently undergoing
extensive clinical trials as a treatment for various cancers
including mesothelioma.
Coramsine is a registered trademark of Solbec Pharmaceuticals
LTD.
What is Coramsine?
Coramsine is derived from Devil’s Apple
(Solanum linnaeanum) a native Australian plant. The
extract itself is composed of 2 agents, glycoalkaloids solasonine
and solamargine that work together as active cancer fighters.
The mixture was originally called BEC and was available as
a topical treatment for sunspots before it was acquired and
studied as a possible cancer treatment.
How it works
The two cancer fighting agents destroy infected cells in
a brand new technique. They bind to a cancer cell’s
receptors located on the cell membrane and gain access into
the cell disrupting cellular functions eventually causing
it to burst.
The company coins this new approach to fighting cancer as
“Oncotic Cell Death.”
Availability
The drug is currently in the middle stages of clinical trials
and has yet to be approved by the FDA. It has shown incredible
promise in studies:
The Mouse
that Wouldn’t Die
A mouse was infected with mesothelioma and not only overcame
it but developed resistance.
